The children of Arduthie School are proud to be members of the school, and to show this they wear the school uniform. In 1997, Michelle Jordan (P4), designed a new logo for the school which is displayed on the various items of clothing.
Grey or black skirt / trousers
white polo shirt or white blouse and school tie
purple sweatshirt
For PE children will require the following kit
Plain T-shirt - this can be in teh colour of their House, but does not have to be.
Shorts – sports shorts or similar. Cycling shorts and long baggy Bermuda type shorts are not suitable as these can cause children to slip off or become entangled in apparatus.
Gym Shoes or trainers – The traditional black canvas gym shoes with elastic gussets are the most suitable form of footwear. These have no trailing laces and flexible soles ensure that they’re suitable for the full range of PE activities.
Children come to school dressed for PE on their PE days. They should wear PE kit and their purple school sweatshirt.
NB. All jewellery should be removed before a PE lesson. In the past there have been incidents of children sustaining injuries caused by jewellery which had not been removed prior to PE e.g. puncture to the neck caused by stud earrings.
It is useful to have an old art shirt in school to protect your clothes when working with paints and other art materials.
REMEMBER – Write your name on everything to prevent loss.
Lost Property
If your child does lose anything then this may be found in the lost property. This is situated in the cloakroom beside the office. The volume of lost items does mean that this is emptied and any clothes without names are put to a charity shop at the end of each session.
