The SFL Auxiliary
is employed to help and support individuals or small
groups of children access the curiculum. Their support
is directed by a member of the teaching staff ( class
teacher or SFL teacher ) and is overseen by a member
of the Senior Management team. Children who enjoy
the support of an SFL Auxiliary will likely have an
Individual Education Programme ( IEP ) for some or
all aspects of the curriculum and this will be discussed
with parents at review meetings.
The Senior Management
Team ( HT + DHTS ) has the responsibility of ensuring
the smooth running of the school and all it aspects
from the planning and delivery of the curriculum,
the management of budgets and the welfare of all within
the school to the issues concerning the fabric of
the building. Final responsibility rests with the
Head Teacher.
The school Administrator, supported
by a clerical Assistant takes care of the vast majority
of administrative tasks associated with the running
of a large school, in addition to supporting the teaching
staff and Management Team.
The School janitor is involved with
the maintenance of the building and its security,
supervises ( on behalf of the authority ) the cleaning
of the building and supports the Management and teaching
staff with the Technology and Equipment needs of the
school.
The Nursery Nurse works closely with
the Nursery Teacher in the delivery of the planned
Nursery Curriculum in all its aspects and with the
evaluation of these learning experiences.
The playground Supervisor and Lunchtime
Auxiliaries support the children during their breaks
from the classroom and provide an important welfare
and first - aid service for them.
The catering and cleaning staff play
an important role in the life of the school providing
a service to improve the environment and so enhance
the opportunity for learning.
Every member of staff is valued for
his or her important contribution to the education
and welfare of the most important people in Arduthie
- the pupils.
