In such a large establishment as Arduthie School there is always something happening and we try very hard to keep you informed and up to date.

The school issues regular newsletters, usually two per term, and these are sent home via the children. These newsletters can contain a variety of information about school procedures, events about to happen and reports on events which have recently taken place. At various times throughout the session, these school newsletters may be supplemented by class notes from your child’s teacher giving you more specific information about the class and the on-going work and sometimes containing an invitation to visit the classroom.

The Parent - Teacher Association (PTA) issues newsletters to coincide with forthcoming events and attractions which they have organised. These will contain full details of what is happening, requests for help and donations and, if issued after the event, a full report on the success of the venture along with thanks to all who contributed. The PTA plays a valuable role in the life of the school and it is dependent upon the support of all staff and parents to make it a success.

Our Parent Council meets once per term and keeps a Minute of all meetings, with a copy put on display at the school. The Parent Council is a statutory body set up to give parents an official forum for a meaningful involvement in the life of the school. Arduthie’s Parent Council is an active and very supportive Council which looks after the interests of the school and its pupils on behalf of all parents.
